Raf Simons x Dr Martens 

These flamboyant Raf Simons x Dr Martens kicks were introduced during Autumn/Winter2009 which is an epitome of modernity and class! The collection ranges from the famed boots to eye catching oxfords for a night out in town! Opposed to Dr Martens’s typical style, Raf Simons introduced metallic leather of different tones to give the former a slick look yet retaining its structure.

I personally prefer this the most! What captured my attention is the colour-blocks where metallic leather of different colours are put together. This fashion marriage between the 2 fashion houses incorporated Dr Martens’s rich tradition and yet without compromising Raf Simons’s bold spirit.

Cole Haan: The Lunargrand Wingtip

Chance upon these shoes and fell in love with it immediately! Couldn't really identify the brand till i dug through the web further! I was in a state of amazement when i found out that these amazing kicks were produced by Cole Hann! I believe that they see a need to cater to fellow fashionistas out there!

C.H definitely up their game when they claim that this is “A future classic with enhanced cushioning, flexibility and dashing good looks, designed to conquer New York City's streets and beyond.”

Some additional details

1. Colour-pop contrast soles- The fluorescent-coloured soles gives off a funky vibe will definitely capture the attention of many. 
2. Ultra-light lunarlon cushioning -  Cole Haan has thoughtfully incorporated ultra-light cushioning to these shoes which gives extra comfort.
3. Sidewalk-gripping textured outsole - The textured outsole helps to prevent tripping!

H&M x Brick Lane Bikes

The next collaboration in spring 2012 for the fashion giant is official! Sadly, the partnership is not with the highly speculated Givenchy but Brick Lane Bikes. The latter is Britain's foremost custom-bike specialists that has the most stylish bikes in town!

Doubtlessly, the collection aims to cater to bike enthuasist to look fashionable while riding the 2 wheels. The collection was inspired by the urban cycling scene where designers realized the need to serve this segment. The collaboration will only produce 11 pieces capsule collection. Yohji Yamamoto Spring/Summer 2013

I have always adored Adidas when I was in high school. However, as your fashion knowledge deepens, you understand the need to dress appropriately for the right occasion. Hence, my Adidas are only used for sport activities.

When Adidas introduced Yohji Yamamoto (Y3) to its family, I was thrilled since I have always been a huge fan of the former. Progressive improvement has been attained by this sports apparel giant over the years and their collection has never failed to impress. They have created a perfect hybrid between fashion and sports. Nevertheless, the iconic strips has been retained for fanatics to relate to it easily.

Y3 S/S 13 has yet again knock my socks off! The collection has clearly demonstrated that layering is still possible in SS with the correct choice of fabric! What are you waiting for, hit the stores now to stock up for Spring/Summer 2013!

Giuseppe Zanotti Fall 2011

I happen to come across this pair of kicks some time back but couldn't locate the name of the brand. It was of pure coincidence that I came across these much adored shoes through a friend! The ignorant me decided to dig further and found out an interesting history about Giuseppe Zanotti!

Way before Zanotti become a renowned shoemaker, he used to work as a DJ! He started off in the fashion industry working as a free-lance designer working with fashion maisons like Valentino, Thierry Mugler, Missoni, Dior, Roberto Cavalli and Ferré. His career started to take off when he took over a small shoe making company!

Isn't is bewildering how this italian shoemaker that primarily manufactures luxury women is capable of coming up with such faddish sneakers! Here's an interesting quote from this fine italian shoemaker,

"Sneakers have been part of our collections for several seasons, but this is the first ever alternative unisex sneaker we have designed, and is our response to the needs of men's fashion"

I love how Zanotti accent the sneakers by bring in the gold element. The gold plates and zip which unveils the gold-coloured material definitely brings out the character of the otherwise just like another pair of high-cut sneakers. These are the 2 details which captivated my heart! Doubtlessly, it was love at first sight!

These kicks are way selling too fast and you may have to spend some effort locating them. The last time I saw them was on Ssense which retails at USD750. But they are completely sold out now!

Givenchy has successfully captured a huge market share after introducing the Rottweiler collection last season which many are anticipating what more can this fashion house offer. Well, they are definitely not losing the momentum with the introduction of the fighter jet and Madonna & Child series. This crowd pleasing series has already won the hearts of many followers! 

The fighter jet series is definitely selling like hotcakes and sad to say that the backpack and clutch are all sold out on Luisa Via Roma! Good news is that Madonna & Child series is still available!

The Effortless Style

This Maison Martin Margiela x H&M leather is definitely to die for. Its a pity that i failed to 'abduct' one during its launch. Stumble upon Katelovesme blog and happened to witness this fine man pulling off this piece of jacket effortlessly. If you were to take notice what he wore, all the individual items are actually wardrobe staples which we all have!

It doesn't really matter if you own this jacket. But all you need is to take note of what are the do and don't to ensemble something similar. Here are some pointers to take note:

1. Focus only one thing at a time (Jacket in this case)
2. Go easy on the other aspect
3. Play with safer colours

Plain white cotton tee, rugged skinny fit jeans and a pair of boots should suffice for this look! Lastly, complete it with a detailed jacket by draping it over your shoulders. Now you are good to go!
